Parking spaces are available for monthly lease throughout the City of Kingston, for more information please click on link here:  https://www.cityofkingston.ca/residents/parking  Single and double parking spots are available in well lit, open lots in Downtown Kingston. These spots are within walking distance of any of our properties. We also have parking with certain locations please be sure to contact our office for more details on availability.

Move-In Tips:
Set up utilities account (613-546-0000 or www.utilitieskingston.com)
Call ahead! PUC needs a lead-time of 5 business days to hook up an account***PLEASE CALL OUR OFFICE WITH YOUR APPLICATION NUMBER. WE CANNOT ASSIGN KEYS IF WE DO NOT HAVE THIS NUMBER.
NOTE: Even if you don’t plan to move in on your date of occupancy, you are responsible for the utilities from that date.

Call RHA Holdings Inc. to confirm date of arrival

Let us know when you expect to move-in to your unit. Give at least one week’s notice to ensure that your unit is clean and prepared just for you! We’ll want to confirm that you’ve set up your utilities at this point as well.

Pick up lease and keys
Keys are ready for pick-up on or after the 1st of the month, Contact our office to make arrangements, prior to move-in to receive your new keys and a complete copy of your lease. Be sure to set up your move-in inspection.

Choose and set-up rent payment options
Pre-authorized debit – Ask us to send the form to you
Post-dated cheques – Simply deliver post-dated cheques to our office

It’s important that we are able to reach you – once you get your local numbers for your mobile, home phone, and email address, please call our office.

Maintain smoke and carbon monoxide detectors

Test smoke & carbon monoxide detector(s) often and replace the batteries twice a year. We recommend that you replace them when you change your clocks in the fall and spring.

Put out garbage
RHA Holdings Inc. apartment buildings feature Recycle rooms for disposing of recycling on an as needed basis. These are usually located within the storage area. Garbage is to be kept in your unit until garbage day.
Garbage will be picked up from all RHA Holdings Inc. tenants from the curb, so be sure to put your garbage out on the night before your pick-up day after 6:00 p.m. Remember if there is a long weekend then garbage day moves ahead one day for pickup.

Vacation Tips:
Notify RHA Holdings Inc. that I will be away and leave my emergency contact number
Ensure someone is watching my unit, You are responsible for the unit throughout the term of your lease, whether living in the unit or not. If you are away, during the summer or winter break, ensure someone visits your unit a few times a week. RHA Holdings Inc. provides a fee service for monitoring units – call us to enquire about pricing. Before I leave, pay my rent for the summer months or for the time period I am away.

Lease Renewal Tips:
Give notice to renew or vacate
Let us know early whether you will be renewing your lease or moving-out by calling or sending a quick email to the office. If your lease expires in April, let us know in December. If your lease expires in August, let us know in April.

Move-Out Tips
Book final move-out inspection

We need to do a final move-out inspection of your unit with you present. Let us know a week in advance of when you plan to move out so that we can book this appointment with you.

Clean unit

All units with carpet(s) must be steam-cleaned as per your lease. It’s your responsibility to leave your unit in showroom condition. Please ensure that all of your belongings and garbage are removed from your unit upon move-out and that your unit is thoroughly cleaned. RHA Holdings Inc. provides a move-out cleaning service for our tenants. Pre-arrange this service and quote by calling or emailing our office.

Cancel utilities
Utilities are your responsibility until the last day of your lease and they must be left on and in your name until that date. Call PUC now to book the cancellation of your utilities for the last day of your lease.

Forward mail
For a reasonable fee, you can have Canada Post forward mail in your name to your forwarding address. This can be done at the post office at the corner of Bagot and Clarence Street, or online at www.canadapost.ca
Be sure to leave RHA Holdings Inc. with your forwarding address so that we can forward any necessary correspondence to you as well.

NOTE: Should you leave your unit before the end of your lease, you must ensure that someone visits it a few times per week. RHA Holdings Inc. provides this check-up service. Pre-arrange the service by calling us.
